Step 1. Plan your bash!
First things first: there is more than one way to throw the color fundraiser of the year (or the best one EVER). We have some easy fundraising ideas though if you’re stuck. We’re sure you’ve seen color run fundraisers, and there’s a reason they’re so popular. Color runs are a fun way to get an entire community involved! However, there are other things to do like color battles, color sports, color powder in the snow, and so many other unique fundraising ideas! We haven’t forgotten the most important part of a fundraiser either— to raise funds! Throwing a color fundraiser allows for a lot of flexibility. You can charge participants with a registration fee for your awesome event, sell tickets inside the event to participate in different activities, or even resell our color powder.
Step 2. Figure out how many participants will be attending.
Hosting a color run fundraiser for a school, or say, throwing a color battle for your athletic club will require different amounts of chalk. If participants are throwing the powder at each other, we recommend that each person should receive about .75 lbs of powder. In other events where participants throw the chalk in the air, like in a color run, you'll want to use about .6 lbs of color per person. With large events, the most cost effective option is Chameleon Colors’ bulk boxes. (Go big and throw lots of color powder! That’s the saying, right?) Distribute the bulk powder to your participants individually or offer our powder as resale.
